BREAKING NEWS: Police seek suspect in Royal Farms robbery in Dagsboro
Delaware State Police on Tuesday were seeking a suspect in the overnight robbery of the Royal Farms store in Dagsboro.
Police said the man entered the store, located at the intersection of Routes 113 and 26, about 2:48 a.m. on July 19, and approached the counter, asking to purchase cigarettes. According to the DSP, after the clerk placed the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect told the 21-year-old woman he would be right back and exited the store.
The suspect then re-entered the store, police said, allegedly wielding a knife and demanding money. They said the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the store.
Police said the clerk was not injured.
The suspect was described as a black man, between 30 and 40 years old; between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall; weighing between 160 and 180 pounds; with a shaved head and a light tattoo on his shoulder. He was reported to have been wearing a white tank top, long blue-jean shorts and open-heeled shoes similar to Crocs in appearance. The suspect may be driving a silver or light tan four-door vehicle similar to a Honda, police said.
