Letter: Lioness group thankful for show support

Through the generosity of our guests and the donations from our supporters at the May 16 “SASSY” Fashion Show Luncheon, the Lord Baltimore Lioness Club has been able to continue its scholarship program for both an IRHS senior and a continuing education nursing student at Beebe Nursing, in addition to its community support endeavors.

Applauds are given to our fashion presenter, CraZy LadyZ (Ocean View and Ocean City) for an amazing array of beautiful summer fashions flattering to all. Baywood Greens Country Club provided the ideal host venue with gracious staff and accommodations.

Further congratulations and thanks are given to the Lioness members, and in particular the Fashion Show coordinators, Debbie Willis and Connie Warner, whose tireless endeavors created the perfect afternoon gathering.

A tremendous thank-you to our donors: Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club, Patti’s Hallmark Shop (Millville), Treasure Island Fashions, Cindy’s Nails (Dagsboro), Clayton Theatre, Fox’s Pizza Den, Frankford Family Diner, Giant Food, Hocker’s Super Wash, Al Casapulla’s Italian Deli, Treasure Island, Tidewater Physical Therapy (Bob Cairo), Make-up Artistry by Helene Marie; special recognition to Lioness Supporter of Excellence John Persinger for his unprecedented generosity and support.

Since 1990, the Lord Baltimore Lioness Club, under its motto “We Serve,” has supported not only the Lions charities but also local community needs (such as Food for Thought, Meals on Wheels, Camp Barnes, Luther Towers) beyond the scholarship programs mentioned above.

New members are always welcomed. If interested, come join us at a future meeting held the first Wednesday of the month (August-December; February-June) at the Ocean View Presbyterian Church Hall (67 Central Ave. in Ocean View) at 6:30 p.m. or email us at lblioness@outlook.com for details.
