Ella Marie Boone, 60
Ella Marie Boone, 60, of Selbyville, Del., departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1958, in Whaleyville, Md., daughter of Ella Mae Williams and Clarence Williams.
She received her public education at Selbyville Middle School and Indian River High School, and she received her graduate equivalency diploma from the Adult Education Program in Berlin, Md.
Boone was employed within the Perdue Poultry Processing Division in North Carolina for many years, as well as at Mountaire Poultry in Selbyville, Del. She was also employed by the Head Start Program in Berlin and later served in the Atlantic General Hospital cafeteria in Berlin for 19 years before retiring in 2016.
Boone was always a happy-spirited person who shared her laughter with many. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends — especially her granddaughter, who was her pride and joy.
Boone was united in holy matrimony to David Boone. She was a devoted member of Spirit of Excellence Deliverance Church in Dagsboro, Del., under the leadership of the Most Rev. Gloria Johnson and the Rev. Ronnie Johnson.
In addition to her parents, Boone was preceded in death by three siblings, Clarence Williams Jr., Navada Tingle and Ronald Hall. Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Stephon Blount, and Davenie Boone and her husband, Rodney, all of Sumter, S.C.; a granddaughter, Syria Agim; five sisters, Alice Price and her husband, Kendall, of Berlin, Md., Ernestine Tindal of Millsboro, Del., Sallie Showell and her husband, Drayton, of Bear, Del., Gloria Johnson and her husband, Ronnie, of Millsboro, and Marcella Williams of Selbyville; three brothers, Melvin Williams of Hemet, Calif., Stanford Williams of Berlin, Md., and John Williams and his wife, Daphne, of Selbyville; and a host of nieces and nephews, including two favorite nieces, Regina Baine and Monikki Williams, and a favorite great-niece; McKenzie.
A celebration-of-life service was to be held Dec. 29, 2018, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del., officiated by the Rev. Ronnie Johnson. Final arrangements were private.
