Southern Delaware School of the Arts celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday, May 11. Since opening in the fall of 1999, SDSA has served Indian River School District students, kindergarten through eighth grade. Besides teaching music, dance, drama and the fine arts, SDSA uses the arts to help teach core subjects too. Clockwise from top left, guests grab paint and brushes; students help paint the mural; several Honor Society students pose for a picture; and plants were sold with hand-decorated pots. Also, first five inductees into the school’s new Walk of Fame were honored: Justin Kates, Gillian Letonoff, Rebecca Southmayd, Matthew Wiltshire and Ashlie Workman.
