Family grateful forresponders, support
My husband, Bob Barber, passed away suddenly on Aug. 22, after a long battle with kidney and heart disease.
I want to thank everyone in the community for their support in this difficult time.
My family and I wish to thank the Millville ambulance squad, who were out to my home several times. They always responded with caring, skill and professionalism.
I have only great things to say about Beebe hospital — the emergency department, CDU, step-down and the cardiac cath lab units. The numerous doctors and nurses who attended to Bob during his many visits and admissions only ever showed compassion and great care.
I especially want to thank the Ocean View Police Department and the state police, who were at my home the day of my husband’s passing. Police officer Harrington with the Ocean View police went above and beyond, refusing to leave me alone until my family and friends arrived. Trooper Martinez, with Troop 4, was equally compassionate and professional. One of the officers even returned later to bring me flowers! Police officers seldom get the credit they deserve and these two officers exhibit the finest qualities, and I truly appreciated their support, consideration and kindness.
I would have to use the entire newspaper to name every single person who has given their support and love to myself and my family.
Thank you all again, and just know how much you are all appreciated.
