‘Think Beyond Pink’ women’s health conference set for Oct. 19

Think Beyond Pink — Beebe Healthcare’s annual women’s health empowerment and wellness conference — will return to the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach on Oct. 19 to discuss key women’s health issues in the community.

Hosted by Beebe Women’s & Children’s Services and Oncology Services, Think Beyond Pink is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The event is an opportunity for women to come together with those they already may know and meet other women in the community to start a conversation about life balance, health and the mind-body connection.

Speakers will discuss the challenges women face at all stages of life. The event is designed to educate, inspire and empower women to make lasting changes, and nurture relationships in the community.

Free flu shots will be available.

It is a free event, but registration is requested and can be done online at https://thinkbeyondpink2019.eventbrite.com.

Speakers will include Dr. Uday Jani, MD, internal medicine, integrative health and functional medicine physician; and Carolyn Trask, PhD, integrative mental health practitioner. There will also be mind-body practice (breath-work and gentle yoga).

“Think Beyond Pink is a day aimed at bringing women in our community together to focus on their health and wellness,” said Judith Ramirez, EdD, manager of Oncology Population Health with Beebe Healthcare. “Women, in particular, often face the difficulty of making time for self-care due to pressures and demands of work, family and community. At this event, you will be empowered to make lasting changes for a happier and healthier life, and connect in conversation with Beebe physicians and other health resource partners.”
