Millsboro man arrested on heroin-sales charges
The Delaware State Police this week arrested 27-year-old Desmone J. Justice of Millsboro following an investigation into the alleged sale of illegal drugs.
On Dec. 13, police reported, members of the Sussex Drug Unit (SDU) concluded a two-month investigation into Desmone Justice. Through investigations, they said, it was learned that Justice was allegedly involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Sussex County area.
A search-and-seizure warrant was obtained for Justice’s 2010 black Chevrolet Camaro, police said. The Camaro was parked in the Plantation Lakes development when the warrant was executed, they noted.
Seized from the vehicle were: 1,131 bags of suspected heroin (approximately 7.917 grams) and more than $3,500 in suspected drug proceeds.
Police noted that Justice was observed traveling on John J. Williams Highway (Route 24) when he was taken into custody without incident. He was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with: Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity and Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity.
Justice was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $120,000 cash-only bond.
