Santo Joseph ‘Sandy’ Mezzaroba, 75

Santo Joseph “Sandy” Mezzaroba, 75, of Selbyville, Del., passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at home and cared for by his wife, Cherylann, in his final days. He was born on July 10, 1944, in Vineland, N.J., to Albert Mezzaroba and Emma (Fiocchi) Mezzaroba.

He worked many jobs: Bell Telephone, Arco service station (owner) and SEPTA, but retired from Lower Merion School District, from work as a custodian. After moving to Selbyville in 2009, he had a very busy social schedule wrapped around the various sporting events he faithfully attended.

Mezzaroba was preceded in death by a son, Lon Mezzaroba. He is survived by his wife, Cherylann Mezzaroba; two children, Gina Hall of Selbyville and Christian Mezzaroba of Glen Olden, Pa.; and four grandchildren of whom he was very proud, Chancellor Mezzaroba, Dalton Hall, Hayden Hall and Parker Mezzaroba.

He requested there be no funeral or memorial service, but the family asked for his friends to remember him with a fishing rod and microphone in his hand, and to kindly share any thoughts, prayers and memories with his surviving family at www.bishophastingsfh.com. Memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice; 100 Patriots Way; Milford, DE 19963.
